IKUO YAMAGUCHI

1955		Born in Yokohama
1980		Trained at Yamaha Piano Technical Academy
1981		Upon joining Yamaha Corporation, worked in Osaka, Paris, Hamamatsu, Hamburg, and Brussels
2008		Resigned from Yamaha after returning to Japan and moved to Hakuba
2010		Opened Impromptus HAKUBA

We have four C3XA, top of the line Yamaha C series Grand Pianos. You can play the piano for not only solo practice but also for accompaniment or ensemble. One piano per studio guaranteed. Studio C can hold two grands so that you can use the studio to play duet.

Carried-in instruments must be acoustic to keep sound levels under control. No percussion instruments for above reasons. We appreciate your cooperation.

4 Yamaha piano benches (No.5, with backrest)
4 Yamaha piano benches (No.60, without backrest)

It is possible to arrange a small salon concert in the dining area which can accommodate 20 guests.

We give priority to the overnight guests; however, please ask about vacancies if you would like to use the studio only.

Although we do have slippers for indoor usage but it will be best if you bring your own footwear for piano use.
